I will be attending a studio day on the 11th March, run by Martyn Rayner in his relocated studio, The Works!

The event page is here.

We are pleased we have the delightful Maja Stina at the Works Studio on 11th March 2012 we are charging £50 per hour including studio and lighting, Maja will be modelling in Studio Two our brand new studio, this studio has been specially designed and built for models just like Maja, with it’s totally black walls, floor and ceiling, photographers will be able to control the light, and produce images unlike any other studio, coupled with the amazing modelling abilities of Maja, this really is a studio day not to miss. Maja has an amazing collection of costumes including some fantastic stuff she makes her self. we would strongly suggest any photographer talking to her before the shoot to arrange the sort of images you would like her to pose for.

Shooting With Julian Kilsby

A couple of weeks ago, I was really excited to be shooting with Julian Kilsby for a third time. I was especially excited to be shooting for Miss Overdose! I greatly admire Ophelia and all of the work she does, so when I heard I was to be shooting some of her designs, I just about died with excitement!

Here are the images from the shoot, which I am incredibly pleased with!

We shot a gold and red bodysuit that I recently made with two different hair looks (wig by Our Little Secret).

We also shot another piece made by me.

This has got to be my personal favourite piece to date, made by myself. I can’t quite pinpoint why I like it, but I guess I love how simple the design is, but how well it works as a piece. I hope you guys agree!

This is one of the amazing pieces sent to Julian for us to shoot, by Miss Overdose (wig by Our Little Secret). I adore these images and was especially over the moon about the wig styling I did for the outfit and felt it all tied in well together!

You guys are going to have to help me decide which you like best out of these images! I can’t choose a favourite! This was the second outfit sent for us to shoot by Miss Overdose, a steampunk look! I was really excited as I’ve never shot a steampunk look before.

Lastly, we shot a beautiful corset by Twilight Siren, with a faux cat skull fascinator by Sophie Adamson. I just adore how well both pieces worked together. Although the outfit and fascinator were very feminine, I feel that we definitely achieved a dramatic look with them, which is exactly what I’d hoped for!

I hope you guys enjoy these

Burning Violet is Now Maja Stina!

I have always been the owner of Burning Violet, my clothing design company that I opened in December, 2010. I’ve now decided to close Burning Violet and now be designing under the name Maja Stina from now on.

My main reason for this is that I want people to make the connection between my designs and I, as a lot of people in the past only thought I was a model and never knew I ran Burning Violet! My second reason for the change is that I feel that the name Burning Violet is not as appropriate for branding my designs, and feel that it is a little on the immature side. I feel that Maja Stina is much more marketable in the fashion industry and industry in general than Burning Violet ever could be.

I will be slowly encouraging fans to come on over from my Burning Violet fan page on Facebook to my Maja Stina fan page, as that page will feature my modelling, makeup artistry and clothing design from now on.

I will, in future, be adding my tattoo portfolio to my website and to my Maja Stina fan page, but I am not ready for this at present because I am not interested in promoting myself as a tattoo artist at all, yet! I’ll be spending the next few months finding a good balance between all of my hobbies (and jobs) and will be deciding on a direction for everything.

Check out the new page, Latex Design, on the site! I will be creating some outfits from other materials this year, also! Keep a lookout.
